A decade on the frontline
Andrew Fuller has spent over 10 years working directly with young people affected by serious youth violence, exclusion and exploitation. That experience is the foundation of Street Lights: the conviction that change comes through steady, trusted relationships, and that young people are met best by people who actually show up — every time.
His practice is trauma-informed and culturally grounded. It treats behaviour as communication, holds young people to a standard while refusing to write them off, and works in the settings where young people really are.
Training, recognition and reach
Andrew delivers training to professionals — including sessions such as “Serious Youth Pain: Understanding Cultural Context” — giving schools and partners the trauma-informed, culturally aware lens that changes how they read and respond to young people.
He worked on the Making Hayes Safer project — a council-led, Mayor of London VRU-funded programme that won national recognition at the Crimebeat Awards. The project’s results are its own; Andrew’s role in it speaks to the kind of work Street Lights is built to deliver.
